About Marie Hyde My corporate experience has been mostly in the financial services industry. During this time I was primarily involved in the Controller Division’s financial accounting, internal control and auditing functions. Particular area of interest was the installation/conversion of large financial systems, as a Senior Business Analyst. The analyst activities are always interesting as all the pieces (programming logic) is brought together for one smooth operation. I held an active CPA license for over 10 years. As interesting as this work is/was, my passion has always been real estate. Maybe this comes from having a family in small farming, and their love of the land. I understand my grandfather had the same interest, and I know my father did. I have been a real estate investor in single family homes for 20 years, mostly on a part-time basis. A few years ago I purchased a few acres of land, and proceeded to go through the rezoning process to divide into three lots. Over a two year period I gained quite an education. This education has continued to benefit me as I have purchased other land parcels. I have years of experience in purchasing Foreclosure and Distressed homes. In the last year I have gained Short Sales experience. I lived in the metro Atlanta area for years, and I watched first hand the growth of several counties and cities.
